Brookes Deli Derby

Pro Technical was engaged to deliver a full Martin Audio sound system installation at Brookes Deli & Wine Bar Derby. The project brief, as delivered, was an installed sound package suitable for both daytime hospitality background music and late-night DJ-led operation. Work completed March 2025.

The installed system specified Martin Audio loudspeakers to provide the venue's fixed sound. The chosen loudspeaker models were the Martin Audio CDD6 and the SX210. Sound system processing and zone-level management was implemented using a BSS BLU-100 digital signal processor. The system design allocated DSP resources for per-zone equalisation and limiter/level control and included setup of zone routing and DSP presets.

The installed equipment comprised Martin Audio CDD6 loudspeakers and SX210 speakers as the primary coverage elements. Sound control and system processing was handled by a BSS BLU-100 DSP unit. The BLU-100 provided zoned control, parametric EQ where required, and limit functions to protect loudspeakers and manage maximum levels in each zone. The documented installed items are: Martin Audio CDD6, Martin Audio SX210 and BSS BLU-100.

Pro Technical completed the fixed installation of the Martin Audio loudspeakers and associated cabling, mountings and connectivity required for venue operation. Loudspeakers were installed as the permanent audio coverage solution for the deli and wine bar space. The BSS BLU-100 DSP was integrated into the venue's audio rack and connected to the loudspeaker amplification and source feeds to provide the zoned control described in the project specification.

Commissioning comprised setup of the BSS BLU-100 to provide zone routing, EQ and limit controls for the installed Martin Audio loudspeakers. Pro Technical configured DSP presets and performed system checks to confirm routing, per-zone equalisation and limiter operation. The documented commissioning activity is the BLU-100 configuration for zone, EQ and limit controls and setup.

On completion in March 2025 Pro Technical delivered a permanent Martin Audio loudspeaker installation using CDD6 and SX210 models, with system control and processing via a BSS BLU-100 DSP. The system was configured with zoned routing, per-zone EQ and limiter settings as part of the final commissioning.
